Why Is Twin Star Exorcist Manga Worth Reading?

Twin Star Exorcist Manga is a Japanese shonen manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiaki Sukeno. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine since October 2013, with individual chapters collected into twenty-four tankobon volumes as of March 2021. The story revolves around Rokuro Enmado and Benio Adashino, a pair of young and talented exorcists, who (according to a prophecy) are destined to marry and have a child that will be the ultimate exorcist.

Twin Star Exorcist Manga  was adapted into an anime television series by Studio Pierrot, that ran from April 6, 2016 to March 29, 2017. The manga series has been licensed for an English language release in North America by Viz Media, publishing the first volume in July 2015. A video game was developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the Playstation vita  released on January 26, 2017 in Japan.

Twin Star Exorcist Manga on December 2018, three light novels and two spin-off manga series were published and released in Japan. Twin Star Exorcist Manga starts from Rokuro Enmado, a young boy who aspired to be a powerful exorcist, before a tragic incident left his friends dead and made him abandon the profession.

One day, he has a fateful encounter with Benio Adashino, a girl around his age and a well known exorcist from the east. According to a prophecy, Rokuro and Benio are the “Twin Star Exorcists” and are destined to marry and have a child known as the “Miko” which will be the ultimate exorcist, capable of cleansing all evil spirits (Kegare) from the world and ending the war that has lasted over a millennium.

In a world full of Shonen series Twin Star Exorcists will definitely NOT change anything about it, but with even that i strongly recommend you to give this series a chance.

The story is focused on these two characters, Rokuro and Benio and their lives as exorcist, They fights an evil known as Kegare. You may like to know from the start the this series only take the premise of the original source of the mange for the first 20 episodes, while the other 30 s an anime original story, with 8 or so episodes with a “monster of the week” progression with the rest of the episodes for the final arc and finale but is not as you might think, the so-called “filler”.

Twin Star Exorcist Manga will be actually some what relevant to the of the story, (just a little) never the less, it could it be shorter. As usual in a series which is made week by week for a full year, it might suffer from the inconsistent quality in the animation, but is fairly consistent through the whole series.

Twin Star Exorcist Manga strongest thing is its characters, the series focus a lot in the relationship between Benio and Rokuro, how in the beginning they hate each other to accept their flaws and praise their strengths. While on the other hand they neglect each other, which is really good, each character of the supporting cast has their own story but only some of them get screen time to develop that, while other doesn’t get any at all, but I see this was done to focus in the protagonists.

My personal experience was that week by week, sometimes I ended really satisfied for what I watched and enjoyed, other times I ended disappointed BUT with the hope that it would be better the next week.
