When does Bleach get Good?

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War started airing in 2022. The series has garnered a lot of hype for all the right reasons.  After a decade worth of waiting while some fans try to speculate when Bleach actually get good.

Although, no doubt Bleach is recognised as one of the Top Big 3 Shounen series, with over 16 seasons, 366 episodes, 4 movies and 2 OVAs. Unlike other series, Bleach does have fewer fillers and more cannon episodes and the plot development is actually fast-paced.

Is Bleach worth watching in 2022?

Bleach is one of the longest-running and oldest series which has presented fans with the Shounen genre. The universe of Soul reapers, hollows, Quincy, Vizard, Bounts(Anime only) and Fullbringers created a well-matched series penned by Tite Kubo. Bleach has 16 seasons and all of them deserve recognition.

Ichigo, Chad & Orihime

Dismissing the filler series, and honestly, not all of them are bad. With the return of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, the series resumed airing nearly after a decade. Without watching the predecessor seasons, Jumping to Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen is a very illogical and bad idea.

Bleach is totally worth the watch in 2022 not just because of the return of Thousand Year Blood War Arc, but the overall series introduced us to more than childhood nostalgia.

As we relive the journey of an orange hair kid who can see ghosts to a transition to substitute soul reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki is one of the best shounen protagonists hands down. His chill and sassy attitude with a laid-back demeanour is part of the plot.

Ichigo Kurosaki knows when to get serious and anyone who disturbs his peace of mind will get the worst of him! In comparison to other Mcs or Shonen leads, Ichigo doesn’t really care about power, recognition, or even romance.

Sucks to be Orihime Inoue in the Bleach series as Ichigo doesn’t care much for romantic interests. Bleach does have some of the best arcs like the Rescue arc when Ichigo, Chad, Uryu and Orihime went to Soul Society to help Rukia save from execution.

Does Bleach get better?

Bleach is better from the start in Season 1 Episode 1 “The Day I Became a Shinigami”. Rukia stabbed Ichigo and shared her soul reaper powers with her. Bleach slowly introduced the main characters along with Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki.

Gotei 13

Inoue Orihime, Yasutora Chad, and Uryu Ishida were introduced in the starting few episodes. Even Kon gets introduced in “Ichigo vs Ichigo”. The actual actions start from S01E08 “Memories in the Rain”. This is the episode when Grand Fisher makes an appearance.

In S01E16, Bleach really starts to get good when Abarai Renji and Byakuya Kuchiki come to Karakura to extract Rukia for punishment. Ichigo nearly died in the battle and helplessly watched Rukia get taken away right in front of his eyes. At the end of Bleach Season 1 when Ichigo emerges from his hollow powers that’s when Bleach starts getting even better.

Which Bleach fillers are worth watching?

The Bounts arc in Seasons 4 and 5 can be skipped. Season 9 and Season 15 are fillers and can be watched. Even Season 13 is worth checking out when everyone's Zanpaktou start rebelling and are personified quite literally.

Is Bleach Actually Good?

Hollow Ichigo

Bleach without a doubt could be a mixed bag for many. Bleach started airing in 2004 and watching the episodes now could feel so plain. However, Bleach gradually improves and offers some of the best fights such as Ichigo vs Zaraki, Ichigo’s fight with Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Aizen.

Of course, there are fights with the captains of Gotei 13 in Season 3 when they went on the rescue mission. Ichigo and Aizen’s fight is certainly the best. Ichigo’s training and less-than-shocked face when his dad, Isshin Kurosaki fights Aizen is one of the best episodes in Bleach.

Picking favourites in Bleach is tricky but there are so many awe-worthy and jaw-dropping moments in Bleach that makes the series worth binge-watching.

When does Bleach get Awesome?

Vizards and Ichigo

Bleach didn’t start slow and quickly introduces most of the characters. When Ichigo goes to Vizards for hollow training and fights with everyone, that episode is one of the most awesome episodes in Bleach.

It took the entire Vizard to control a berserk hollowed Ichigo. In terms of awesome moments, there are many. When Ichigo reaches the execution grounds to display his power and saves Rukia in front of everyone, that was one of the most amazing and awesome entries of the character.

Ichigo nonchalantly throws Rukia towards Renji to let him catch her. So much faith! The fight between Ichigo and Byakuya was the start of the awesome Bleach journey! Of course, there’s Aizen who steals the shows and openly betrays the Gotei 13!

Which Season of Bleach is best?

Ichigo in Bleach TYBW

It’s quite difficult to pick the best seasons of Bleach but Season 3 when Ichigo and others went to save Rukia is one of the best. Seasons 6, 7, 8, and 10 are some of the best focussing on the Arrancar arc. Season 11 is good as we get to see the flashback of Aizen, Vizards and Kisuke Urahara.

Season 12 makes Bleach amazing along with Season 14 when we get to witness the fall of Espada army and Sosuke Aizen. Season 16 is the Fullbringer Arc which may not be the best but it serves as an arc where Ichigo regained his power back.

Now that Season 17 is airing, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, this would definitely make Bleach amazing with improved animation, action, music and the storyline itself.
