The story of Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun Manga looks at protagonist Iruma Suzuki, who is a fourteen-year-old boy with very terrible parents. They sell their son to a demon for their own selfish gains.

The demon, named Sullivan, seems to have more humanity, as he takes Iruma under his care as his own grandson.

Sullivan then gets him transferred to a school in the Demon World, called Babylus School for Demons where Sullivan himself is the headmaster.

Iruma must now adjust to and continue to live without standing out in the slightest in this new environment.

The biggest issue is that he absolutely must hide the fact that he is human. If he is found out, he would most likely get eaten, as advised by his new guardian demon.

Having good adaptability and survival skills owing to his past where he was completely neglected by his human parents, Iruma does his utmost to blend in amongst the other demons.

But as one would expect, his life is prone to many orthodox situations and adventures, which make hiding his humanity a great challenge. Despite his efforts, he often stands out amongst the demons.

After some time he comes to accept the fact that he is simply popular while earning the admiration of most of his peers.

Does Iruma Kun Turn Into a Demon?

Thus he swiftly befriends two demons named Alice Asmodeus and Clara Valac. This is mostly due to his kind but gullible personality, where he attempts to selflessly help others even at his own loss.

But this is also a clear indication of how much he loves those close to him. The school has its own Demon Ranking System and Iruma was inevitably placed in the lowest rank: Aleph.

No protagonist would stay there long, as one would expect, but he had his own dilemma of whether he should try to ascend the ranks, which would definitely attract some attention to him.

He finally decides to work hard and ascend the ranks to make his new family proud, for whom he is very grateful. The setting is set for one spectacular ride of a series as Iruma goes about his new life at this demon school.
