Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata have finally returned to their original Magnus Opus, Death Note with Death Note Short Stories. This new manga is a collection of short stories set in the aftermath of Light’s death and will explore Kira’s influence on the entire world. Death Note Short Stories will have about 226 pages and all the collected stories will be short One-Offs that will explore the post-Kira world from various perspectives.
And the Pre-Orders for this manga have already started. Viz Media is officially selling the manga for US$14.99 on Barnes and Noble with free shipping included.
Death Note Short Stories will be available on May 10, 2022. Where, of course, the Pre-Order audience will be the one to officially get the manga in the west before anybody else.
Currently, we do not know any other details about the new manga release, and even how many stories it will have. But considering Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata are personally working on the manga, it will definitely be a worthwhile experience, and we may even get to see what actually happened to Misa Amane after Light’s death.
The New Manga was announced by Viz Media at their panel in New York Comic-Con, which was held last week.
