Netflix released The Ingenuity of the Househusband Jdrama on August 29, 2021.

The Netflix Jdrama The Ingenuity of the Househusband is based on the popular manga Gokushufudo.

The manga series is written by Kousuke Oono which began serialization in 2018.

Gokushufudo was adapted into ONA (original net animation) which was released on April 8 2021 on Netflix.

The Ingenuity of the Househusband Jdrama stars Tsuda Kenjiro as immortal Tatsu doing chores and living his everyday life.

The Ingenuity of the Househusband or the Way of the Househusband Jdrama Season 1 has 5 episodes.

The episode duration is 5 minutes each episode.  This show is quite entertaining although a bit short.

Actor Tsuda Kenjiro nails the role of Immortal  Tatsu and keeps the essence of the character alive. The series is short but lively.

Watch Immortal Tatsu do house chores and relaxes. This series will make you curious and give you a small dose of laughter.

If you haven’t watched The Ingenuity of the Househusband, you’re surely missing out a lot.

It was hilarious to see Tasu engage in everyday life activities along with his cat.

If you’re unaware of the show, the premise is based on Oono’s character Immortal Tatsu, who is now retired from the Yakuza life and lives happily with his wife Miku.

The manga and anime are equally compelling and hilarious as the mangaka presents the everyday life of Tatsu who has adjusted his normal mundane life of being a skilled househusband.

Gokushufudo has a live-action Jdrama that had 10 episodes.  

The Ingenuity of the Househusband Jdrama will entertain you as you get to see the inner monologue of Tatsu and his road to enjoying the successful househusband.

Having read and seen the original series, the lack of Miku and Masa from the cast was a bit sad, but The Ingenuity of the Househusband delivers what it promises.  

Tatsu is busy showing us a guide and how to successfully manage the household chores.

The occasional presence of the cat makes the show livelier.
