One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. As the manga’s full of adventure and fights, swords are one of the most important and common weapons in One Piece. Due to the huge amount of blades in the anime, it is quite difficult to find out the difference between them.
One of the most special weapons in One Piece is Meito or Named Swords, which are crafted by talented swordsmiths. All the swords in One Piece can be classified from the strongest to the lowest grade swords. One Piece is filled with many Named Swords and there are still many, which have not been revealed yet. The weapons are created for just one thing and that is to cut down as many opponents as they can.
5. Gryphon
Gryphon is a sword of an unknown grade and it is flaunted by Shanks, the captain of the Red Hair Pirates. There is a very high possibility of this weapon being a Saijo O Wazamoni sword, as it has proved to be very durable over the course of several fights.
It's also seen in the manga series that Shank used this sword against Whitebeard's Murakumo giri, which led to the split of the sky. Shank was able to stop Akainu’s devil fruit attack with this sword, which didn’t cause any damage to it at all. All these instances show that Gryphon was one of the highest-grade swords in the manga series.
4. Shodai Kitetsu
This is definitely one of the strongest swords, crafted by the very first generation of Kitetsu swordsmiths. Shodai Kitetsu is one of the twelve Saijo O Wazamono grade swords. As shown in the manga series this sword is said to be a cursed sword which means it will bring a grisly death to the wielder.

3. Murakumogiri
Murakumogiri is a naginata and one of the twelve supreme-grade swords. It was used by Edward Newgate for over 30 years until his death. And this sword is quite unique from the different swords in this list.
Unlike other swords, it is a Saijo O Wazamono sword which makes this sword naturally the strongest and the most attractive weapon on the list. This weapon was used by Whitebeard quite efficiently.
He used the weapon to defeat Blackbeard in a fight. Whitebeard also combined his devil fruit power with his Murakumogiri which increased the sword's power.
2. Ace
Roger’s sword is one of the 12 Saijo O Wazamono swords, which is befitting of the pirate and has the highest bounty in the series. The sword is named Ace. It is possible that in the manga series, that Roger had very deep affection towards his sword, which is why he named his son Ace after his blade.
Ace is a Saijo O Wazamono sword, which means it is very powerful and a single attack from this sword was enough to send Kozuki Oden flying through several boundaries.
1. Yoru
There is a reason why Yoru is named at the top of this list, it is shown in the manga series that Mihawk's Yoru was the first Saijo O Wazamono weapon to be revealed in the manga series.
Yoru is an all-Black blade and is worth being used by the strongest swordsman in the world. With the power of this blade, Mihawk has managed to cut down a giant iceberg and large galleons with ease. As far as it is shown in One Piece no such sword is invented in the series yet, which can match the power of this sword.
