Sakura and Syaoran | Do Syaoran and Sakura end up together?

Cardcaptors Sakura is one of the best Shoujo series from the 1990s. The Clamp group created Sakura and Syaoran as the main protagonists of Cardcaptors Sakura.

Sakura and Syaoran initially started as hostile enemies, became comrades in the quest for the Clow Cards, were even competing for affection from the same person, and lastly fell in love.

The journey of Sakura and Syaoran was beautiful and makes you wonder; Do Syaoran and Sakura end up together? It would be sad if they didn’t. Sakura and Syaoran are really cute and shy, their transition from enemy turned lovers was not cliche and that’s one of the best things in Cardcaptors Sakura.

Sakura was chosen by Keroberos as a candidate to search for the Clow Cards. After the search started, Syaoran Li came from Hong Kong in search of the cards and deem Sakura worthy of being a candidate.

There was hostility and competitiveness between Syaoran and Sakura, the naive one just tried her best to get along with Syaoran. From Syaoran’s perspective, his actions were justified, but not entirely.

Is Li in love with Yukito?

There was a point, both Sakura and Syaoran liked Yukito. However, later it was explained that Syaoran’s like was more of attraction due to Yue’s affinity to the moon and his powers deriving from the moon.

Yukito politely rejected Sakura’s confession and explained what Sakura felt was not romantic love but familial love. When Sakura became the master passing the final judgment, Syaoran didn’t hold any bitterness towards Sakura and acknowledged her.

Syaoran had fallen for Sakura eventually and broke off her engagement with his fiance Meiling.

When did Sakura fall for Syaoran?

Sakura got rejected by Yukito. She treated Syaoran like a friend, but it’s evident he liked her even before that. Sakura slowly starts to fall in love with Syaoran due to his little actions and care that stirred the heart of Sakura and slowly mended her broken heart.

When did Li start liking Sakura?

Syaoran Li was conflicted with his feelings towards Yukito. But after getting a proper explanation, it makes sense for Syaoran. He started liking her without even realizing it.

It might have started from the point Sakura became the master of Clow Cards.  He was supposed to go back to Hong Kong, but he delayed it as he wanted to help Sakura change the Clow Cards. He deeply cared about her and delayed leaving because he knew it will put Sakura in danger.

Why did Syaoran start liking Sakura?

There’s no reason for not liking or liking someone. The same rules apply to Sakura and Syaoran. Syaoran might have fallen for Skura’s kindness and gentle disposition.

Sakura and Syaoran are meant to be and one of the best couples in the Clamp universe. Syaoran noticed his feelings for Sakura and patiently waited for her. Sakura and Syaoran did start as rivals, but it wasn’t really surprising for them to fall in love.

Who does Sakura Kinomoto end up with?

At the end of the Cardcaptor Sakura anime, after Sakura finished changing the last Clow Card into a Sakura card, Syaoran decided to return back to Hong Kong. In the series, Sakura and Syaoran separated and that’s how the series ended.

However, there was an extension in the form of the 2nd movie where he comes back temporarily and they both confess and acknowledge their feelings. So, it’s safe to say Sakura ended up with Syaoran, even though they parted again later. It’s a kind of long-distance relationship for Sakura and Syaoran.

Do Sakura and Syaoran end up together?

Sakura and Syaoran are clumsy and shy, as the young couple is still discovering about love. Syaoran returns back to Sakura in the Clear Card arc. Sakura and Syaoran are together in the series, and in every other Clamp series as a true couple. Syaoran and Sakura had a crazy adventure and a heartwarming relationship.

They cherish each other and truly care about each other. Ofcourse, Sakura’s brother Touya isn’t all that happy with Syaoran but he didn’t protest explicitly. Touya knows that Sakura and Syaoran will be happy together and won’ meddle in the affairs.
