Rent a Girlfriend (Kanojo Okarishimasu), is a Japanese manga series beautifully written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It is an Anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment aired from July to September 2020. It is also said that there would be a season two for the same.
Rent a Girlfriend Storyline
This Japanese manga series is a story about a boy Kazuya Kinoshita, who is dumped by his girlfriend Mami Nanami after dating for a month. He then decided to use an Online dating app and rented a girlfriend for himself.
The girl he rented, Chizuru Mizuhara, was very beautiful and attractive. He somehow thought that she was inauthentic and gave her low ratings. Chizuru berates him for that then he realizes that Chizuru is way meaner than he thought.
However, when Kazuya's grandmother was hospitalized, he took Chizuru with him to see her. His grandmother praised Chizuru a lot because of her nature. He also rented her several times for his family functions and many more occasions.
Things got complicated when they got to know that they were neighbours, and also in the same college. The art of this manga series is done beautifully. Even the characters are expressed wonderfully. But is there any love affair between Kazuya and Chizuru? Or is Kazuya in love with Mami Nanami?

Kazuya Kinoshita is the main male Protagonist in this manga series. He is a student at Nerima University, who is majoring in business administration. He is a type of person who lies very often, because of the lying habit he is often in trouble. Kazuya was dumped by Mami Nanami after dating for a month for someone new.
We see that Mami appears to be a sweet and very friendly personality in front of Kazuya. But behind this persona of hers, she is very manipulative, especially around Chizuru and Kazuya.
She is also jealous of their relationship and wants them to break up. But there is no soft corner for her in Kazuya, as now he was well aware of her different personas. Despite her not being around or with Kazuya, she went out of her way to get more knowledge about him and his new girlfriend.

He also ranted about his feelings to her but he later said that he was lying, which got Chizuru angry for saying those things so casually. The same is with Chizuru, she is also very fond of him and I won’t be surprised if they did end up confessing to each other.
