One of the most enjoyable aspects of watching K-dramas is seeing the two main characters fall madly in love with each other. Even though we know it will happen, we can't get enough of it. It's more thrilling when it happens in the first or second episode since we get to see the lovey-dovey romance that draws us into the series!
Here are K-dramas that quickly establish the relationship between the two main characters.
8. I Need Romance 1 and 2
Technically, the romance in these two series does not develop swiftly because the romance is present from the start. Both "I Need Romance" and "I Need Romance 2" follow the story of a couple who dates, breaks up, and then gets back together. These two series are simple to be drawn into, owing to the cast and the amount of chemistry they have from the start. You'll be eager to learn what happens to the main characters at the conclusion of each series!
7. Romantic Doctor Kim
"Romantic Doctor Kim," another Seo Hyun Jin drama, featured a fast-paced romance between the two main characters. Yoo Yeon Seok plays the loving Kang Dong Joo, while Seo Hyun Jin plays Yoon Seo Jung, a skillful physician. Their passionate and dramatic first kiss moment occurs early in the series, and it leaves viewers wanting them to be together. However, a tragic tragedy leaves the two with nothing except lingering affections for each other as they work side by side.
6. Kill Me, Heal Me
This romance is a little out of the ordinary, but it's worth mentioning. Ji Sung plays Cha Do Hyun, a character who suffers from multiple personality disorder as a result of a sad occurrence from his childhood. Although Cha Do Hyun isn't the kind to recognize his feelings for the female lead right away, one of the characters, bad boy Shin Se Ge, falls in love with Oh Ri Jin at first sight. It's a unique relationship because Shin Se Ge only appears briefly through Cha Do Hyun, but when he does, it's very endearing to witness how much he adores Oh Ri Jin.
5. Fated to Love You
"Fated To Love You" follows Lee Gun, played by Jang Hyuk, and Kim Mi Young, played by Jang Nara, in their bittersweet love story. Their romance is triggered by a passionate moment in the first couple of episodes, and while it's delightful to see, it comes to a halt as the two figure out their feelings for each other. It's a journey worth seeing, and you can't help but hope for a good finish for the two characters.
4. My Secret Romance
“My Secret Romance” was OCN’s first stab at a romantic comedy and we were all pretty excited about it. The steamy script and storyline seemed to hint at a fast-paced romance, which we were totally down for! It’s a pleasant surprise to see the two main leads, Cha Jin Wook and Lee Yoo Mi, be quick to “fall in love” within the first two episodes. The two share a special night together and are not able to shake each other even after being apart for three years.
3. Degree of Love
"Degree of Love" stars Yang Se Jong as On Jeong Sun, a chef, and Seo Hyun Jin as Lee Hyeon Soo, a drama writer. This K-drama also features a relationship between an elderly woman and a younger man. Within the first two episodes, the charming and sweet Jeong Sun realizes his feelings for the endearing Hyeon Soo and even expresses his feelings to her. Talk about getting things done quickly!
2. A Witch’s Romance
The romance in "A Witch's Romance," starring Park Seo Joon as Yoon Dong Ha and Uhm Jung Hwa as Ban Ji Yeon, develops swiftly, which is one of the reasons why this series is so easy to be drawn into. The main couple is well on their way to having an intimate connection by episode two. Despite their age difference, the chemistry between the two characters is quite enjoyable to observe. Despite the fact that the two of them withdraw after their passionate night together, their budding romance is genuinely cute throughout the series.
