This new step makes BTS the only act in history along with Drake to replace themselves at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with two number 1 debuts.
"Permission To Dance" also debuted at number 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart with numbers over-taking their own track "Butter". This makes BTS the only act in history to occupy the top 2 spots on the Digital Song Sales chart on five different occasions.
BTS is now the quickest act to achieve five Billboard Hot 100 number 1 hits since Michael Jackson in 1987-1988, as well as among groups since the Jackson 5 in 1970. Permission To Dance also continues BTS' reign as the only group with multiple Billboard Hot 100 number 1 debuts - 4 songs: "Dynamite", "Life Goes On", "Butter", and "Permission To Dance".

BTS Thanking Army's!!
Has it ever been any achievement for BTS without thanking their fandom ARMY? Despite all the achievements in BTS' life, they still don't forget the fact that everything they have today is not just their hard work but also the support of their precious ARMY. BTS is known for being humble, and down to earth and it shows.
After "Permission To Dance" received all the love and nods on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, it was very obvious BTS had to thank their ARMY, which they definitely did.

Even though Permission To Dance was not able to break all the records set by Butter, it surely broke records in the hearts of many people. Not only the song is groovy and catchy but it also comes with a very meaningful message which can be seen in the video. The fact it is the only song that can be understood even by a deaf person makes it special in its own way.
