One Punch Man Season 1 aired from October 2015 to December 2015. One Punch Man is a popular Shonen anime and manga series. I’m reviewing One Punch Man Season 1 Episode 1 titled “The Strongest Man”. This series revolves around the superhero Saitama known for his strength and one punch kill. I had no idea what I’m getting into but all I know that it’s a very hyped series. Let’s review Episode one to find out more! I’m excited to start my One Punch Man Journey!
It starts with a bang! A massive explosion! The city is in chaos but why do we see a piccolo lookalike?! More mayhem and chaos. The Hero Association piqued my interest. Enters our bald hero to challenge the terrorizer.
The main character Saitama makes a dashing entry. When we thought the Vaccine man will crush that girl, Saitama comes and save the day. All it took is one punch to crush him! Now that’s an interesting character.
The Birth Of A Hero
We see a flashback from 3 years ago. Saitama, who’s currently unemployed met a weird crab monster who’s searching for someone. Well, the character is odd-looking seems enraged. Saitama, the meddlesome guy ends up saving the boy! Crablante becomes crabmeat!
Is Saitama The Hero We Need?
After the encounter with Crablante, Saitama gets determined to become the strongest hero. He trains vigorously to the point of becoming bald! We see more weird creatures attacking the city and Saitama defeats them.
Poor guy can’t even go grocery shopping peacefully. It was interesting to see Saitama worry about things like any normal person. He didn’t look like he was power-hungry or going mad for more power. It was surprising to see a down-to-earth cool superhero!
Dreams and reality are so different. Saitama dreams about fighting a strong subterranean creature but they turned out to be quite weak and disappointing. It looked like a promising fight but it was all a dream.
One Punch Man Season 1 Episode 1 introduced our main protagonist Saitama. Saitama the strongest man who defeats villains with a punch! Meet Saitama who’s a hero for fun! His overbearing power makes him feel empty and bored. He’s looking for powerful challenges and let’s hope he finds some soon. Episode 1 and I’m already hooked in.
