This series started when Luffy was seven years old, was inspired by pirates, and started his journey in search of a very mysterious treasure, named “One Piece”.

As we know, most manga series become boring if it’s expanded for a very long time. Nevertheless, the case here is completely different, the manga’s Fan following is increasing day by day.

Who is Yamato in One Piece?

Yamato, also known as Oni Princess, is a major character of the One Piece manga series who appeared in the Wano Country Arc. She is said to be the daughter of one of the Four Emperors of the sea, Kaido who holds many epithets.

Though at the moment of his death 20 years ago, she idolized the legendary Samurai, Kozuki Oden when she was just 8 years old, and also started to declare herself to be Oden.

As We know through the manga she was constantly abused by her father in her childhood and was also imprisoned on Onigashima later.

Despite this, she has fought her father countless times, with each failure that made her stranger than she was before.

This definitely shows us that she was very strong and would always stand for herself. She also befriended Portgas D. Ace who came to Wano 4 years prior to the current story.

He had a Vivre card, which was given to him by Yamato herself. Some years later, she met her Sworn brother, Monkey D. Luffy, and declared that she was going to join the Straw Hats Pirates after the war.

In the manga series, Yamato ate the Inu Inu No mI, Model- Ojuchi no Makami, a Mythical Zoan type devil fruit. This devil fruit allows her to change into a divine wolf, as well as a Human divine wolf hybrid.

According to Kaidou, the beast is a “Guardian Deity of Wano Country ''. There is no such devil fruit theory in Yamato’s case but the fact that Yamato ate the fruit purely out of hunger despite the actuality, that this devil fruit wasn't meant for her.

This shows that her devil fruit was very different and when mixed with her own power gave her the ability to compete with anyone at her range.
