He was a member of Warlords of the Sea. But, after his defeat at the hand of Luffy, he was imprisoned in Impel Down, level 6.

He has a bounty of 340,000,000 berries, frozen when he became a Warlord.

In this article, you will read about some Doflamingo trivia. These are not some secrets but are often paid less importance.

His Childhood Memory

The Doflamingo family is a descendant of one of the World Nobles.

Their royal family contributed to the formation of the World Government and moved to Mary Geoise.

However, Homing renounced his title as World Noble and decided to live a normal life.

Homing, his wife, Donquixote, and Rosinante (Cora-san) tried to live among the commoners and moved to an unknown country in the North.

However, the commoners in their anger for the World Nobles attacked the Doflamingo family.

Soon, Donquixote’s mother passed away from illness.

The three Doflamingo left their household but the angry mob tracked them.

The mob lynched and beat the remaining three Doflamingo severely.

The World Nobel as well refused to help them. Donquixote Doflamingo swore to kill everyone when they managed to survive.

Even years later, he continued to blame his father for all the suffering they went through and killed his own father.

Donquixote Doflamingo's Love for Rosinante

As children, Donquixote Doflamingo held his little brother Rosinante very precious.

He personally would kill whoever even dared to harm Rosinante.

Having been through the suffering of seeing their mother ill and then die, he was extremely protective of Rosinante.

However, it all changed when he started suspecting Rosinante of being a spy for the Marines.

Things unfolded when Rosinante left the crew with Law for six months.

Having confirmed by Vergo that Rosinante was passing information to Marines, Doflamingo decided to disown his brother.

He let Corazon join his crew when he came back after 14 years and never questioned him.

He believed in their brotherly bond and let Rosinante stay with him. Later, Donquixote killed him with his own hand.

On their final altercation, he knew that Rosinante would never actually pull the trigger even when he pointed a gun because he was kind and compassionate like their father.

Devil Fruit: Ito Ito no Mi

Unlike Spiderman who uses spider’s web, Donquixote Doflamingo’s Devil Fruit power allows him to create and control strings.

His strings are extremely thin to the point of invisible and durable and sharp.

He can cut, pierce, block or bind his opponents with his strings which are very strong.

The strings are so sharp that he can slash a meteor and cut an entire country.

Doflamingo also uses his strings to bind his opponents and play puppet with their bodies.

Additionally, he uses the strings on his benefit to repair his internal organs.

When controlling his opponents with his strings, he mostly puts his opponents to kill each other while he sits on the sidelines to watch and enjoy.

He can attach the strings to the cloud and travel midair.

But it is only possible when there are clouds.

With his Devil Fruit Awakening, Donquixote Doflamingo is capable of turning non-living things into strings.

An example is seen in the Dressrosa Arc when he transforms the buildings into strings.
