Kimisen or Our Last Crusade or The Rise of a New World is a light novel-based series, written by the author, Kei Sazane.

He started writing his action fantasy light novel in the May of 2017 with illustration by Ao Nekonabe. By February 2019, due to extreme popularity, Yen Press officially licensed the Light Novel and its short manga series in English.

After the release of the anime adaptation in 2020, the Light Novel Sales increased dramatically and because of such a great response, the series has finally been renewed for a proper anime sequel.
