Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto is a series about adventure fiction, comedy, and Martial Arts. There has been a lot of talk about Naruto and everything going on in his life. But we are here today to talk about Kakashi Hatake.
Kakashi Hatake has been a prominent figure in Naruto since the very beginning. Despite his prestige, his power remained a conundrum for a long time. With his mask and headbands, Kakashi not only concealed his appearance but also his Sharingan eye more often during the show. When it was revealed that Kakashi had a Sharingan eye, it came as a shock to all the fans that he isn't from the Uchiha clan.
Traditionally, in the show, it was shown that Sharingan only belonged to the Uchiha bloodline and nobody else. However, Kakashi coming to boast his power came under unusual circumstances. But the main interrogation here is about who gave Kakashi the Sharingan eyes? Or did Kakashi steal the Sharingan eye?
How did Kakashi get his Sharingan?
Kakashi is said to be one of the most beloved characters of the manga series. He is shown to be a very intelligent and highly esteemed boy against his peers which gets him to the top of his class, in the very first year itself.
In the manga series, Kakashi was paired with his two classmates, Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara, under the leadership of Minato Namikaze. Kakashi's team was sent to the Third Shinobi War when he was just 12 years old.
We saw that the mission was all about destroying the Kannabi bridge in Kasagakure to cut off Iwagakure’s line supply. Before going on the journey, he was given gifts by Rin and Minato but Obita didn't give him anything.
During the journey to Kusa, they encountered Taiseki and Kakko, Mahiru’s teammates. Taiseki and Kakko kidnapped Rin because they wanted to know their team's plan for the war.
However, Obito suggests saving Rin, while Kakashi was a bit against his suggestion. When they were going their separate ways, Obito reminded him of his father that he was a hero, and abandoning a mission is more comprehensible than abandoning a friend.
These words of Obito were like an arrow that was shot in the right direction and also at the right time. When Kakashi went to save Rin he got to know that Obito was in danger too. Even though Kakashi went to save his friend, at the same time Taiseki becomes invisible and tries to attack Obito with his White Chakra Sabre. And Kakashi intervened for the same and hurt his left eye.
Afterward in the manga when Obito and Kakashi found out that they had kept Rin in a cave, and went to rescue him. One of the members of the opposing team, Kakkou saw them coming, he planned to push a huge rock in their direction.
As Obito saw the rock coming in Kakashi's direction, he pushed Kakashi and was the one trapped in it. Obito knew that he was about to die when he saw the injuries on his body.
Therefore he decided to give Kakashi his Sharingan to replace it with his lost eye. Sharingan became Kakashi’s most identifiable feature and he is also known as Kakashi 0f the Sharingan.
So to sum this up, Kakashi gets his Sharingan from Obito as his dying wish in chapter 242, Episode 120 of the Naruto Shippuden.
How did Kakashi get Sharingan in both eyes?
Kakashi got Sharingan in both eyes when Obito’s Chakra was transferred to him. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, the young vision of Obito told Rin that he would like to give his eyes to Kakashi to help in battle.
Though Chakra is an ethos that connects the world, Obito’s Chakra “gained new life” and reanimated the eye for Kakashi. Obito even expressed in the manga that he would like his friend Kakashi to become a Hokage.
How did Kakashi lose his Sharingan?
The first time Kakashi lost his Sharingan was in episode 424 of Naruto Shippuden when Madara rips the Sharingan from Kakashi’s eye and transplants it on his own.
During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Madara removed the Sharingan from Kakashi's left eye socket and placed the Sharingan on his own even though Obito warned him. Madara gouged Kakashi's eye so quickly that for a few minutes he didn't even realize what happened to him.
Later it was shown in the manga that Naruto used his Yin Yang Chakra to perform a far-fetched variation of the creation of all things, because of which Kakashi got his eyes back.
We also saw that Team 7 (a team formed under Kakashi Hatake) was a little disoriented and Madara used this opportunity to arrive in a black Zetsu that controlled Obito’s body. Marada took off and went towards the sky, where we saw him creating multiple Chibaku Tensei.
Naruto and Sasuke were seen following him by his Shadow. Meanwhile, in the sky, Madara was recalling a phrase from the stone tablet. And at the very last he removed his covering from his forehead and here we saw his third eye.
He reflects it on the moon and reveals Infinite Tsukuyomi. Though he was successful this time when he went to regain his power from the Second dimension. We saw that he lost his Sharingan completely after Obito died in episode 120.
Is Kakashi still Powerful?
Kakashi Hatake has many powers of his own. He is a master of Countless Jutsu and can also use the Famous Rasengan, it's a Jutsu that is considered to be the legacy of the Fourth Hokage. It has been shown that he learned this at a very early age, even before he came up with the Chidori.
One of Kakashi's biggest powers as a fighter is that he is a fairly balanced Shinobi. Not only this but he also has a strong arsenal of attacks up his sleeve which does help him to defend from attacks as well. Kakashi’s strongest defensive technique after losing the Sharingan is the Earth Style Wall, the power which was displayed against Pain during his invasion of Konohagakure.
There are many powers which he has but let's not forget about the most powerful one. Shiden Nagashi is a technique of Shiden that he created sometimes after the Naruto manga series ended. With the use of this technique, Kakashi can channel current through his entire body, paralyzing and can even damage anything or anyone too close to him. This concludes that even though he lost his Sharingan, he was still very powerful.
