Yuta Okkotsu is the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen prequel movie- Jujutsu Kaisen: 0.
He has been mentioned in high esteem several times during the first season of the show.
Moreover, he has become very prominent in the recent arcs of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Like Itadori, Yuta was recruited to Tokyo Jujutsu High by Gojo Satoru under similar conditions.
He soon became a very skilful special grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.
However, the real question is, is Yuta Okkotsu stronger than Satoru Gojo himself?
Is Yuta Okkotsu Powerful?
Jujutsu High recognizes Yuta as one of four special-grade sorcerers.
Yuta was quickly registered as a special grade while being haunted by Rika's cursed spirit due to Rika's enormous power.
He even defeated Suguru Geto by channelling Rika's cursed energy.
Yuta learns to manage his cursed energy and becomes dependable with a sword after training with Gojo and the other students.
Yuta retains his special grade ranking even after Rika's curse is lifted, and Gojo has stated that Yuta has the ability to overtake him.
Yuta's enormous power stems from his lineage as a descendant of one of Japan's Big Three Vengeful Spirits.
It's why he was able to curse Rika when he rejected her death when they were little.
Can Yuta Defeat Gojo Sensei?
Yuta's strength stems from his relationship with Michizane Sugawara.
However, it was only revealed when he turned Rika into a cursed spirit.
Rika grew into a powerful vengeful spirit, earning the title of "Queen of Curses" from Suguru Geto, an enthusiastic collector of powerful cursed spirits.
Yuta was able to perform advanced jujutsu immediately after learning how to use it thanks to Rika's boundless cursed energy, which could be moulded into any technique.
Despite the fact that Rika's spirit is unravelled, Yuta retains an enormous amount of cursed energy long after the event.
He admitted that his cursed power outweighed Gojo Satoru's by a factor of ten.
Yuji and Choso could immediately tell from Yuta's presence that his cursed energy was on par with Satoru.
Yuji went so far as to claim Yuta's aura was even more creepy and ominous than that of Gojo's.
However, Yuta's energy, on the other hand, would be depleted considerably faster than his teacher's, who, thanks to Six-Eyes, can flawlessly monitor his energy use.
The only way Yuta could defeat Gojo would be if he were to quickly and overwhelmingly overpower the latter.
This would prove to be difficult in the case of Gojo because of the nature of his powers.
In conclusion, while Yuta may one day surpass Gojo in overall skill level (which he hasn’t yet), it would still be difficult for him to defeat Gojo Satoru.
