Kaido of the Beasts is the captain of the Beasts Pirates and also one of the Four Emperors.
He was a member of the once-legendary Rock Pirates. In the Wano Country Arc, he is the primary antagonist.
Kaido of the Beasts has taken over the Wano Country along with his crew from his base on Onigashima.
Appearance
Kaido has a broad, heavy-built top with wide shoulders and muscular arms.
His legs are less heavily built and his feet are much tinier than his hands.
Kaido’s head is also disproportionately small with a set of grayish-white horns coming out of the side of his head.
Kaido has black, unruly hair reaching his mid-back and a wavy waist-length Fu Manchu mustache with a spiked goatee across his chin.
He has a tattoo resembling a reptilian scale in dim red with each individually bordered in orange.
The tattoo runs from his left pectoral down the front of his left arm.
On the lower forearm, there is a tattoo in the white of a traditionally shaped skull.
Personality
Kaido is an aggressive warrior who suffers from apathy and boredom. He has little to no concern for anything.
He craves excitement as he wanted to start the world’s largest war because he found it mundane.
Kaido is a habitual drunk who loves drinking sake. He dislikes being sober.
His drinking habit causes erratic mood swings.
We see his melancholic mood over not being able to fulfill his dream of having a crew of only Devil Fruit users change into violence and beating his subordinates.
Kaido believes that a person achieves their true glory when they die fighting until the end.
He respects and admires Gol D. Roger, Edward Newgate, and Kozuki Oden for this very reason.
Kaido’s Beasts crew
Kaido of the Beasts has the dream to build a crew of only Devil Fruit users and is determined to go to war against the world government for this.
Among Kiado’s crew, his All-Stars consist of King, Queen, and Jack and Tobiroppo consist of the six strongest Shinuchi.
Powers and Abilities
Physical Strength
Kiado is considered the “strongest creature” in the world with a bounty of 4,611,100,000 berries.
He has attempted suicide because of his inability to die. It has now become a sort of hobby for Kaido.
He jumped from the sky island only to survive with just a headache.
Despite his gigantic size, he is very fast. He also has immense durability that only 'Ryou' can hurt him.
Devil Fruit Ability
Kaido has the power of Uo Uo no Mi Devil Fruit which allows him to transform into a large blue eastern dragon.
With this form, he can fly and can make clouds appear around him.
He can also travel faster in his dragon form that makes the wind move people and object off the ground.
Like the myth of the dragon, Kaido can shoot pressurized air from his mouth as well as shoot a beam of energy toward his target.
Weapon
Kaido has a giant ‘Kanabo’ mace which can defeat his enemy without effort.
However, it is unable to defeat those who have mastered Ryou.
For instance, Luffy could withstand the attack in this second fight against Kaido.
Kaido also has a gun with which he killed Kozuki Oden.
With the Wano Arc in progress, we will witness the even more terrifying strength of Kaido.
Kaido says that he is enjoying this battle against Zoro and Luffy.
