In Another World with My Smartphone, the anime is exactly as the title suggests. Our protagonist was in another world with just his smartphone. Well, let us give this name a better meaning ahead.
In ” In Another World with my Smartphone,” the plot revolves around our protagonist Mochizuki Touya. He died in a lightning accident that God caused mistakenly. Furthermore, Touya finds himself in front of God after he wakes up. However, God decides to reincarnate Touya into another world.
To compensate, God also grants him a wish to relive his life in an entirely new dream world. Touya also received super magical and physical powers. Later, he requests God that he wants to carry his Smartphone through this journey. God accepted his wish and let him enjoy the new world.
Through the New World
In the anime, In Another World with my Smartphone, Touya finally begins his journey in a new world. He decides to explore the world entirely. Touya kept moving from one place to another aimlessly. The world was full of magic and girls, of course. He enjoyed it around there. Moreover, the girls were competing for his attention. Girls like Linze and Elze Silhoueska, Yumina Urnea Belfast, Leen, and Yae Kokonoe gave Touya a glut of emotional frustrations as well as companionship. They also helped him in learning the mysteries of this modern world.
Character Development in 'In Another World with My Smartphone'
The characters in the story, however, are not up to the mark. They show no growth till the end. In that sense, the story becomes pretty much monotonous. The personalities remain as it is. Even our main lead, Touya, doesn’t show any growth in the story. He enters a new world without anything in mind. His reactions to every situation were more or less easy to predict.
There are plenty of female characters In Another World with My Smartphone. Even after looking quite young, they actually are 100s of years old. However, most of them lack a proper back story. Perhaps, their main focus was to marry Touya throughout the plot. All of them, at all the points of time, lack goals. Except for Touya, every other character is secondary. They give a base to his story as it moves ahead.
