Haikyuu season 1 episode 4 | The View Of The Summit

Kageyama was already very famous which deeply disturbed Hinata because he also wanted to be someone who was recognized and was given nicknames as they were given to Kageyama.

Kageyama was known as ‘The King of The Court’ which was believed to be a nickname for his extraordinary skills that he had in volleyball but it was revealed by Tssuki that the title ‘The King of The Court’ actually meant ‘The Selfish King’ as Kageyama was a short-tempered person. He got irritated and angry easily and started shouting at his teammates.

His teammates often considered him rude and arrogant. So in the last match when he shouted at his teammates for not spiking the ball properly they got offended and turned their backs on him which deeply hurt his feelings.

Being short-tempered turned out to be a big disadvantage for him.
We have often heard that a person who is talentless if pure by heart, is way better than a talented person with a black heart. But in Kageyama’s case, he was just misunderstood.

He was so devoted to volleyball that he acted out when things didn’t go his way. His true personality may be unknown for now but the present doesn’t agree with him. But somehow, Kageyama put his faith in Hinata and tossed the ball to him and they both turned out to be better together than when they were fighting with each other.

Tsukki and Yamaguchi were constantly trying to provoke Kageyama for his mistakes in his previous match. But he didn’t give them a chance to get under his skin. Sugawara was a strong believer in both Kageyama and Hinata. He was the one who explained to Hinata how Kageyama could be a formidable ally instead of a rival. The view of the summit turned out to be good for Hinata and Kageyama.

In Haikyuu season 1 episode 4 we saw that, Hinata and Kageyama started understanding each other, Will they be able to enter Karasuno High School’s volleyball club?
