Haikyuu Season 1 Episode 1 , revolved around Shoyo Hinata, a high school junior, who got inspired about volleyball by watching an intense match while he was going home with his friends. The story in Haikyuu Season 1 Episode 2 revolves around Karasuno High School Volleyball Club setting the groundwork for building the necessary relationships between the team members.

He is inspired by the commentators nickname ‘the little giant’. After his long attempt of practicing and playing volley ball he finally gets a chance to play his first match ever at Karasuno High School.

There he sets his rivalry with ‘The King of Court’ Tobi Kageyama and faces a crushing defeat by him which leads him to his vow to defeat Kageyama one day. For which he practices  and study so well that he is accepted at Karasuno but with his rival Kageyama.  Now how will he defeat someone who is playing from his side?

In Haikyuu Season 1 Episode 2, as Hinata and Kageyama encounter each other at the volley ball court they both are shocked to see each other and straight away begins to argue with each other. Until, they see their seniors Ryu, Tsukishima, Yamagauchi, and Captain Sawamura.

The group of seniors came to see their new first year students who applied to join the volley ball club at Karasuno high school. Kageyama was already famous for being a marvelous setter but the seniors were quite shocked to see Hinata, because of his small stature.

As they were watching Hinata and Kageyama continuously fighting they seek presence of their vice-principal to which sawamura and others warns them to stop their quarrel and pay attention to the vice-pricnipal as he is not a fan of kids who cause trouble.

But their quarrel leads to funny moment when the ball hits the vice-principal and it is revealed he wears a wig. Sawamura is very disappointed with both Hinata and Kageyama. He being the captain knew what was best for the team so he puts them in a situation to be friends with each other as this was the only way they could learn teamwork.

Haikyuu Season 1 Episode 2 tells Teamwork is a major key element to win. Sawamura throws them out of the court and warns to enter only on a condition if they accepts being friends with each other. Hinata and Kageyama knew they were not going to  get out of this situation so easily so Kageyama plans with Hinata to challenge their seniors for a volleyball match which could show both their skills and teamwork.

Sawamura was rooting for this as he saw them last year playing against each other. Kageyama being the best setter for his team but his anger got the best of him and Hinata with his agility and quick reflexes. They both together could help Sawamura bring back their lost reputation.

Now, the match will determine the future of Kageyama and Hinata; as Kageyama, Hinata and Ryu goes against Tsukishima, Yamagauchi and Captain Sawamura in a 3-on-3  first years match.
