After Karasuno’s constantly deteriorating performances, their reputation was already on the line.
The inter-high preliminaries were starting from the second of June. Everybody was excited for the upcoming practices. This was Karasuno’s time to be free from all the nicknames given to them. This was Asahi’s chance to prove himself as ‘The Ace’.

When the Tokonami received the match chart to see who they were against in the first round, one of the player Ikireji was shocked to see that they were against the Karasuno’s. The same happened with Sawamura as well.

Both of them went back to their Junior High school days. Ikireji and Sawamura attended the same Junior high school and were best friends. When they decided their High schools and got to know that both of them had to go their separate ways, they were sad. But both of them knew they were not going to leave volleyball so they had a slight hope of meeting each other in the future, when they would be going against each other.

As the Tokonami’s had already heard about them, they even knew that they were not going to go too hot at this point. Their reputation had lead everyone to have an opinion of them before hand. But this time Karasuno’s had a hope of actually reaching the inter-high preliminaries as they had Hinata and Kageyama with them. Even Nishinoya and Asahi had returned to the team.

They had every key player they needed to win the matches this time. Everybody was giving their best when it came to practice.
Ukai started his day at four in the morning just so he could manage both coaching and store. The team mates practiced for endless hours and motivated each other. Even the manager Kiyoko found their old cheerleading banner which had ‘Fly’ written on it. She washed it and presented it in front of everyone to wish them good luck and motivate them.

Everybody got emotional seeing this thoughtful gesture from Kiyoko. Even though every player was practicing together, each of them had something different on their minds. As Hinata was looking forward to have a match against the Nekoma’s, Kageyama was looking forward to prove himself in front of Toru Oikawa from Aoba Johsai.

As they all have so much expectations from themselves, will they be able to clear the preliminaries?
