Who Is Hinata's Love Interest?

Tobio Kageyama was always said to be Hinata's soulmate.

Well, it's not obvious to share a romantic relationship with someone in order to label them as your love interest.

With the word "Soulmate", we mean someone who brought the good in Hinata, someone who always supported him and was there with him in his hard times.

Both might not get romantically involved with each other but always played an important role in each other’s life.

Relationship Between Shoyo Hinata And Tobio Kageyama

In the beginning, the bond between Hinata and Kageyama was complicated.

They went against each other in junior high school.

After Kageyama won the match, Hinata made it his life mission to take revenge.

Little did he know about the surprise which was coming into his life.

Both were made teammates on the same volleyball team at Karasuno High School.

This made their relationship better than before.

Both Hinata and Kageyama are great volleyball players.

They were known as one of the toughest duos in their prefecture.

They defeated every team in the prefecture.

By the end season of season 1, both were on good terms.

They ended up being friends and vowed to work together as a team to create more forceful attacking skills.

Despite this newly developed bond, both of them had a severe fistfight in season 2.

After the fight, Hinata told Yachi "This isn't the first time he'd made a friend, Kageyama  was more like a partner to him."

This is where fans knew this was much more than what a mere friendship is.

The bond that both of them shared was too deep, and they needed each other in their lives.

The fans introduced the ship's name KageHina.

KageHina became the most famous ship of Haikyuu. There was no fan of Haikyuu who didn't crush on both of them.

After the fight, both started training separately, but Kageyama found it difficult to reach his goals without Hinata’s presence.

It was very obvious he could not achieve the quick attack without Hinata's support. They were like lock and key, inseparable.

He realized that Hinata’s absence is distracting him from training properly.

Both couldn’t stay apart for long because they were on the same team.

Later, they realized the importance of staying together and appreciating each other’s strengths to overcome their weaknesses.

Did they ever confess?

Well, sadly no. They never confess their love to each other. Neither was this written in the Manga as well.

After high school ended, they even separated ways. Most of the students changed their tracks after high school.

Hinata Shoyo had travelled to Brazil to learn beach volleyball.

On the other hand, Kageyama became a professional league player in Japan itself.  But staying away didn't work out.

After getting trained in Brazil for two years, Hinata Shoyo returned to Japan and joined Kageyama’s league.

That was the time when Hinata got a chance to take revenge on Kageyama, which he had aimed for in the beginning.

Hinata’s team won as he had changed his playing style. But this doesn’t make Kageyama feel angry.

Kageyama had a drastic change since season 1. In season 1 he was a hothead who only thought about himself and hated to lose.

He even blamed his teammates if they were not able to win.

But this was not the case anymore. He understood the fact that it's a game and winning and losing is a natural things.

After all, it's a natural thing that things never remain the same.

Moreover, both of them realized that they needed each other in their lives to support and play together as a team.
