Go Ahead Drama is a 2020 Chinese Drama starring Tan Songyun, Song Weilong, and Zhang Xincheng as the main cast followed by some supporting characters.

It first premiered on Hunan TV on August 10, 2020.

Go Ahead Drama was a hit and was well received by audiences for its warm familial storyline.

Later on, it was aired on iQYI globally with multi-language subtitles on October 8, 2020.

In Vietnam, it was aired on FPT Play on August 12, 2020, and on Youtube by Huace TV Vietnam on November 11, 2020.

What Is The Go-Ahead Drama About?

Go Ahead Drama is set in three timelines. It starts from their childhood in 1999 to their teens in 2009 and then to 2019 when they are adults.

It tells the story of three children from broken families who get together and become a family themselves.

 Growing up in dysfunctional households, three individuals unrelated by blood treat each other like family as they yearn for the love they cannot find at home.

Eldest brother Ling Xiao, second brother He Ziqui, and youngest sister Li Jianjian grow up together, experiencing life's joy and strife as they support each other's chosen paths under their two fathers.

But as the story moves forward, things change. After Ling Xiao and He Ziqui graduate from high school, the situation leads them to leave China and the family they made for themselves.

Both of them had to return to their native families. One is welcomed happily and cherished This leads to some emotional moments in their life.

All of their life is changed in a glimpse of a moment.

All of them were affected by their leaving but they kept pretending as if everything was fine so that they don't give stress their families.

Both Ling Xiao and He Ziqui were confused about their families.

Both the brothers were supposed to return after their college graduation as they promised their little sister but situations didn't let them.

This created more misunderstandings between them. The distance between them made them grew apart from each other.  

Five years later, the brothers return back to China to their family and Li Jianjian, and the three brothers and sisters are united. But things are not the same as usual.

They felt awkward around each other especially Li Jianjian was the one who looked the most uncomfortable.

Ling Xiao was a dentist and He Ziqui opened a bakery as he knew his sister is fond of sweets.

This awkwardness also leads to a heated moment between them. But as they spend some more days together, they are able to understand each other's situation.

The secrets which were buried deep are shared with each other. The psychological problems caused by their families were still haunting them every day.

In the face of various difficulties in life, they choose to work together.

After experiencing some hardships, they bravely walk out of the shadow of their past, allowing their parents to face their own problems directly, and make each other a better person.  

Is Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao a couple?

Yes, Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao started dating when Ling Xiao returned to China. Even though they had many differences at first, they sorted it out.

It was Ling Xiao who first had feelings for Li Jianjian. Li Jianjian always looked up to him as a big brother figure but once Ling Xiao shares his feelings with her things started to change for her.

Ling Xiao carried some deep troubles with him. His time in Singapore was very hard for him as he constantly missed Li Jianjian.

The hope to see her again one day was the only support he had.

He was suffering from depression and was having trouble sleeping but never asked for help as he knew it would put a lot of people he loves under stress. Ling Xiao even had trouble growing up.

His sister died in front of him. After this incident, he was constantly blamed by his mother for her death.

Li Jianjian helped him overcome his constant troubles. She was always by her side. Both of them were made for each other and are one of the best couples ever in the world of Chinese Dramas.  

Why did Ziqui's Mother Never Return After She Left Him With Li Jianjian's Father?

He Mei, Ziqui's mother was married at a young age. Ziqui's father was an alcoholic, which made her life very difficult.

After she got to know that she was pregnant she decided to take a divorce in order to give his son a better life.

After the divorce, she was having troubles both financially and mentally in raising Ziqui.

But things change when she met Li Jianjian's father on a blind date arranged by a lady who was a mutual friend of theirs.

She thought to leave He Ziqui to Li Haichao, Jianjian's father for some time.

She decided to go to another place for a better job so she could give Ziqui a better life. She went to a different place leaving his son behind.

She got a job at a saloon over there. One day, a customer was yelling at another woman who worked with her.

She decided to step in in order to avoid any misunderstanding but the customer tried to pick a fight.

Accidentally the woman slipped and died which caused deep troubles for her. She ended up going to jail for five years.

After this when she actually returned to China, she didn't have the guts to face his son after leaving him alone for so many years.

She was ashamed of telling him the reason why she never returned.

But soon after her arrival, things started to shift in her favour. Li Haichao helped her in sorting things out with Ziqui which brought them together.

He Mei and Li Haichao ended up marrying each other in the end.

Go Ahead Drama is one of the best C dramas. It's not just any show on a basic love story but it actually teaches us many life lessons.
