Giyu Tomioka is one of the important supporting characters in Demon Slayer, a Netflix Anime Series.
He is a part of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Water Hashira.
Talking about Giyu Tomioka’s personality, he is kind of a serious person.
Giyu prefers the remaining reserves.
As he is a man of honor. His way of sticking to the right and fighting for justice. This makes him more special.
Basically, Giyu doesn’t go easy on people who cross boundaries.
Giyo Tomioka & His Skills
Giyu is very quick. He has immense speed. Basically, he was able to cut off Rui with a blow.
Giyu Tomioka always did very severe training. Due to this, he had immense stamina and endurance.
Giyu is also one of the most skilled swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps.
He showed no mercy towards demons. Not even for Nezuko.
Yet, Giyu Tomioka saved Nezuko Kamado when Shinobu tried to kill her.
Due to this, he even broke the laws of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Giyu, As a Person
This shows that he still has a caring side within himself. Giyu let her live because she didn’t eat humans.
He was not like others who just killed without a second thought. Giyu was indeed different.
However, he is pretty much complicated. Giyu was conscious of what others think of him.
He was shocked when Shinobu said that many hated him.
Furthermore, Giyu Tomioka speaks very little. Basically, he has a hard time gelling up with others.
So, in order to avoid getting awkward, Giyu avoids meeting people. He even, once told Akaza that he doesn’t like talking.
However, Giyu suffers from an inferiority complex. He developed it when he participated in the Final Selection.
This problem, however, started getting serious with time. Giyu Tomioka, for once, thought of leaving his position.
But, Tanjiro helped him regain his consciousness. He motivated Giyu to enjoy his life to the fullest.
Despite everything, Giyu has a protective nature. He cares a lot for everyone who is close to him.
Yet, Giyu Tomioka never let his feelings disturb his duty.
When Tanjiro turned into a demon, he still fought him despite his feelings.
