Ha-Kyung rushes out the door while Si-Woo receives a call in Episode 5 of Forecasting Love and Weather. He's frantic, telling whoever is on the other end of the line to hang up and that he can't help them any longer. Who is he conversing with? When Ha-Kyung goes upstairs to get her USB that she left behind, she wonders the same thing.
Si-Woo, on the other hand, takes Ha-Kyung to work, but on the way, he gets a call from Yu-Jin, which he quickly dismisses. Ha-Kyung wants to be dropped off to avoid making a big scene at work when they're driving together, but Shin Seok-Ho is in the car next to them.
Ha-Kyung tries to make reasons for why they're together, but he doesn't seem worried in the least.
Why Are Han Ki-Jun & Yu-Jin Fighting?
Ki-Jun and Yu-Jin, on the other hand, begin their day by arguing with one another. The former is furious with her for lying, and quickly departs, determined to clear up the messes she made with her newspaper story.
What Happened At The Forecasting Centre?
At the forecasting center, though, there are more serious issues. There is a lot of instability in the atmosphere because of the extremely high temperatures. The clouds, in particular, appear to be pointing to a significant rush of locally heavy rain. Senior Um arrives late to the meeting, but Director-General Go draws him aside to speak with him.
Go is concerned about his agitated mood and inquires as to what is happening at home. Um shakes it off with a faint smile, but it's evident things aren't going well.
Everything has been tight in the previous episodes, but after Um leaves, he goes out and drinks by himself. The staff teases Um about her behavior, blaming it on her lack of promotion. Of course, they are unaware of the truth.
Ki-Jun confronts Si-Woo later that afternoon, accusing him of speaking to the press. He reminds him that everything must first go through the Office of the Spokesperson. Si-Woo retaliates, claiming that the problem was caused by internal miscommunication and suggesting that he instead go to the Situation Room and monitor everything in real-time.
Ki-Jun believes in Si-Woo's antagonism and attitude, as well as the fact that he is Yu-ex-girlfriend, Jin's is all a ruse to make him envious. He feels Ha-Kyung is still after him, but a fast kick to the shin puts an end to that. When she returns inside, she takes Si-Woo aside and appears to be about to scold him... Until Si-Woo leans in and gives her a warm hug (in secret, of course!)
Ha-Kyung eventually acknowledges that she isn't furious with Si-Woo, but rather annoyed that she didn't see the weather front. While these two men work out their issues, Ki-Jun remains enraged and tries to make apologies with Yu-Jin, being all sweet to her over lunch but clearly concealing a more unsettling edge, given what occurred with Si-Woo.
However, they are stopped by a phone call from Seoul, which confirms a rain echo. It appears to have gotten worse, and the cloud patterns seem to confirm this. Indeed, a rumble of thunder outside heralds the arrival of severe rain across the region.
Given that this has come out of nowhere and that the KMA has neglected to mention it, the office begins to receive a barrage of rain-related calls.
Su-Jin and Seok-Ho both speak out when Ha-Kyung begins reprimanding Um for his actions. After all, they've been pouring over ten years' worth of data, and they remind her that they might not have missed it if they'd checked the radar instead.
Su-Jin finally leaves due to Ha-Kyung's abrasive attitude and stiff upper lip, leaving the rest of the squad fragmented and conflicted.
The Director-General summons Um and Ha-Kyung to his office, where they talk about the rain's impact. Not only have there been power outages and localized flooding, but two employees have also gone missing. Ha-Kyung is enraged, claiming that it is not his duty to speak up because she is the one who is a fault.
Meanwhile, Si-woo speaks to Su-Jin, gently reminding her that Ha-choice Kyung's was taken in the people's best interests. After all, analyzing all of this information would have aided them in arriving at a more sensible and accurate prediction. It's just a pity that the heavy rain has gotten in the way.
Ha-orders, Kyung's on the other hand, isn't a problem. The fundamental issue here is Ha-lack Kyung's confidence – or lack of self-assurance. Later that day, one of the workers, Myung-Joo, is quick to take this out to their Director. She also gives her a USB with all of the facts she's requested, encouraging her to investigate and think about what she's said.
Myung-Joo greets her husband after picking up her children from school. He wants to retake his technical exam, but that will require him to take a year off work. The problem is that doing so will put a significant strain on their money, so she'll have to think about it.
The search for the two missing people begins that night. Both Um and Ha-Kyung arrive at the hospital's emergency room, unable to sleep. Thankfully, the two employees are discovered quickly, leading them to go out and get some lunch.
Ha-Kyung realizes Um has gone home while driving because all of his possessions are in the backseat. She also discovers that he has lost motivation and is caught in a rut.
Si-Woo attempts in vain to reach Ha-Kyung, but he keeps getting calls from that weird number in between rings. He goes outside, holding his head in frustration, and withdraws a large sum of money.
Si-Woo places the money in an envelope and drives to a motel. On his way out, he meets across Ha-Kyung, who is accompanied by a very intoxicated Um. As the episode comes to a close, another big rainstorm interrupts them both.
Why is Si-woo Sounding So Suspicious?

He keeps getting calls from that weird number in between rings. He goes outside, holding his head in frustration, and withdraws a large sum of money.
So, what's up with Si-Woo, and to who is he providing money? This is a major area of disagreement, and it will be fascinating to learn more about it. In future episodes, we're sure we'll see more.
The ending here ends on a frightening cliffhanger, leaving the question of where this one will go next wide open.
