Enhypen commonly stylized as ENHYPEN is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation. Formed through the 2020 survival competition show I-Land, the group is composed of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
Enhypen debuted on November 30, 2020, with the extended play (EP) Border: Day One. The group's name, Enhypen, was introduced through the live broadcast of the final episode of I-Land.
According to etymology, Enhypen derives its name from the symbol Hyphen (-), which creates new meanings including "Connection, Discovery, & Growth".
Similar to how a hyphen connects different words to discover new meanings, Enhypen aims "to come together to connect, discover and grow together to create a new act.
While the seven of them work well together as a group, each of them is unique in its own way. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality test that identifies how a person perceives the world and makes decisions.
Check out the ENHYPEN MBTI type below!
1 . Heeseung- INFJ (The Advocate)
They treat people as if they are what they should be, and you help them become what they are capable of becoming. Advocates generally strive to do what is right and they want to contribute to a world in which others do the same.
People with this personality type may feel compelled to use their strengths, such as creativity, imagination, and sensitivity, to lift others and spread compassion.
2. Jay- ENTP (The Debater)
They are bold and creative, deconstructing and reconstructing ideas with great mental agility. They are tenacious in the pursuit of their objectives, regardless of the opposition they may face.
They don't like being coddled and don't like it when people beat around the bush, especially when asking for a favor.
3. Sunghoon & Jake - ISTJ (The Inspector)
They are reserved yet determined, with a logical outlook on life. They carefully plan their actions and carry them out with methodical precision. They have sharp minds that are fact-based, and they prefer autonomy and self-sufficiency to reliance on someone or something.
4. Sunoo- ENFP (The Champion)
They are more likely to embrace big ideas and take actions that reflect their sense of hope and goodwill toward others. Their vivacious energy can flow in a variety of directions. They are fiercely independent, and they crave creativity and freedom far more than stability and security.
5. Niki- ENFJ (The Giver)
They enjoy assisting others and have strong ideas and values. They back up their point of view with the creative energy needed to achieve their objectives.
They are genuine, caring individuals who talk the talk and walk the walk, and nothing brings them greater joy than leading the charge, uniting, and motivating their team with infectious enthusiasm.
6. Jungwon- ESTJ (The Director)
They have great fortitude and stick steadfastly to their own sound judgement. They are frequently a stabilising force among others, capable of providing solid direction in the face of adversity.
They are classic examples of model citizens: they help their neighbours, uphold the law, and strive to ensure that everyone participates in the communities and organisations that they value.
