Japanese Video Research Institute Ratings

According to the Japanese Video Research Institute, these Ratings represent the percentage of populations that watch the video in a certain region. And these new Ratings are taken from the Kanto Region where the Movie aired for the first time on Fuji TV. These Ratings only cover live watchers and do not include any recordings that viewers might have saved in their recorders to watch later.

Most Japanese do not have time to watch such shows when they air, so they use recorders to save up their favorite programs on Blue Ray Recorders. So getting such a high number right from the start shows that the Demon Slayer excitement has still not died in Japan, and the fans there are still very much alive and excited to watch more of it.
