Demon Slayer is arguably one of the most popular anime of the decade. The series is a perfect blend of action, comedy, tragedy, thrill, suspense, and horror.
After the release of the record-breaking movie Demon Slayer: Infinity Train, fans are eagerly awaiting its second season. The upcoming season will reveal many secrets about the Sun Breathing Technique and Demon Slayer Mark.
We will also learn more about Nezuko's powers. Up till now, the series hasn't shown any progress in achieving the true purpose of Tanjiro Kamado which is to turn his only family, Nezuk, back to her human self again.
In the first episode, we see the tragedy that suddenly befell the Kamado family. The house filled with laughter and happiness was instead covered in blood and dead bodies. Among his entire family, which included his mother and six siblings, Tanjiro only found Nezuko to be alive.

The rest were murdered by an unknown demon, who was later revealed to be the primary antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji. After finding her breathing, Tanjiro made haste to take her to the hospital, but along the way, Nezuko began to attack him and showed her superhuman strength.
It confirmed the fact that she is no longer a human and has instead somehow been transformed into a demon. Amid her attacks, they met Giyuu, a demon slayer who wanted to kill Nezuko to save Tanjiro. However, Tanjiro didn't let Giyuu hurt her and Nezuko also showed signs of her human being intact.

After contemplating the situation, Giyuu recommended that Tanjiro meet Sakonji Urokodaki, a former demon slayer.
Urokodaki explained to Tanjiro about the demons and Demon Slayer Corp. He also told him about Muzan, who was behind the demise of his family.
He helped Tanjiro train and showed him the path to becoming a demon slayer. Tanjiro made it his life's goal to turn Nezuko back into a human and defeat Muzan.
Here, we will discuss whether Nezuko was able to turn back into a human. This article contains a lot of spoilers from the Demon Slayer manga.
Is it Possible for a Demon to Transform Back to a Human?

While it is true that humans can easily become demons, the opposite cannot be the same. Muzan Kibutsuji, the first demon was the only being who was capable of turning a human into a demon. Demons do not age and can live for centuries or even millennia.
As long as they are not beheaded by demon slayers, exposed to sunlight, or killed by special methods, they won't die. Even hunger isn't reason enough to kill them. So, for such monsters to turn back to humans is completely unheard of. In the Asakusa Arc, Tanjiro happened to meet two demons, Tamayo and Yushiro.

They were the only demons except for Nezuko who were free from Muzan's control. Tamayo is a doctor and holds deep knowledge about humans and demons.
She is the only demon except for Muzan who was able to turn a human into a demon. Though she only did it once to Yushiro, and that too when was fatally sick. Upon consultation, Tanjiro was informed that even Tamayo never heard of a demon transforming back.
However, she lent him help and started to research this on the condition that Tanjiro would bring her blood of the 12 Kizuki that will help in finding a cure.
Does Nezuko Ever Become a Human Again? Does She die?

Nezuko has been different from other demons since the start. Giyuu once mentioned that Demons tend to feed on their close relatives since they are more appetizing to the monsters.
However, contrary to his experience, he saw Nezuko protecting Tanjiro instead of eating him.
There's also the fact that she never consumed a single drop of human blood. She gained her energy by sleeping long hours, or sometimes even months.
Despite that, she was an extremely strong demon with amazing Blood Demon Art. She was a great ally to Tanjiro in his missions and always fought other demons.

Her distinctive qualities were always a ray of hope for everyone that maybe she will be able to become human again.
Luckily, it did happen. In chapter 126, Tanjiro stood in disbelief as he saw his younger sister standing under the sun, uninjured and smiling brightly at him. This was the beginning of her transformation.
After a series of events and many hurdles, Nezuko went under a long sleep in Urokodaki's place. In chapter 196, Nezuko finally wakes up and was shown to become completely human again.
After the defeat of Muzan, the Demon Slayer Corps was dissolved. At some point in her life, she married Zenitsu and even had children with him.
