BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan has been achieving many milestones for past years. Now, the group has hit another milestone as "Mic Drop" (Steve Aoki Remix) has joined the 1 Billion Club on Youtube.
On July 26, 8 PM KST, the music video for Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) surpassed 1 Billion views on Youtube. The music video was released on November 24, 2017, which means it took 3 years 8 months, and 2 days to reach this milestone.
This is BTS's fourth music video to hit this milestone after DNA, Boy With Luv, and Dynamite. This makes them the only South Korean artist who entered the Billion club on youtube with the highest number of MV's in a very short span of time. The other artists who achieved this milestone are PSY and Blackpink but BTS holds the record for the fastest Korean group to reach 1 Billion views after "Dynamite" did in 7 months and 22 days.
Earlier this month, Permission To Dance reached Atop the Billboard Hot 100 charts. This comes as the group's fifth Billboard Hot 100 following Butter, Dynamite, Life Goes On, and Savage Love(Laxed Siren Beat) [BTS Remix] made in collaboration with Jason Derulo and Jawsh 685.
BTS hit another milestone recently with their most famous and successful dance track Dynamite. Dynamite officially surpassed the one-billion threshold on Spotify on July 20, 2021. With this new achievement, the boy band has become the first Korean act to do so.
Even Steve Aoki himself posted a video on Twitter showing his gratitude and love towards BTS and ARMY. In the video, he even compiled all the covers that were made for Mic Drop worldwide. It's Steve Aoki's first-ever music video which surpassed 1 Billion views on Youtube.
By leaving these positive marks and making history, BTS is definitely making every ARMY proud. The way they present themselves matters a lot. The message they promote is known by the whole world.
CONGRATULATIONS BTS AND ARMY!!!
