Fans Surprise Jungkook on His B'day With Purple Pfp's On Twitter

Well, the day is here. The main vocalist of the k-pop group BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan turns 24 today and the whole world knows it. As the clock struck midnight on September 1 on Korean Soil, ARMY worldwide celebrate Jungkook's 24th birthday (25th following the Korean age system). ARMY's call it Jungkook day. Fans never fail to surprise their favourite idols on their birthdays. But, it looks like a whole celebration on any of the BTS member's birthdays.

From video tributes and fanart to charity events and literally making over entire subway lines, ARMYs all over the world have taken over ( and perhaps even broken) Twitter to wish BTS's youngest member a happy birthday.

Just minutes into Jungkook's birthday, hashtags such as #HappyBirthdayJungkook, #GoldenJungkookDay, and #HappyJungkookDay were all trending on Twitter. In fact, out of 30 trending topics worldwide, more than half were related to Jungkook.

Not just this, fans also followed the purple profile picture trend which started with the release of "Butter Remix". The colour of Jungkook's mic is purple so fans started uploading Jungkook's pictures with purple backgrounds.

The Chinese fan club of Jungkook covered their buses with Jungkook's pictures as their way of showing their love for Jungkook.

In case you're wondering, this love isn't one way. As fans were feeding Jungkook with so much love, he finally came home. Jungkook posted a selca on Weverse. Not just this, he also asked fans how they were doing or if something they always wanted to tell him. Jungkook is that idol who is selectively social. Jungkook posting a selca went trending in minutes.

Fans are even hoping for a Vlive as a custom for Hybe Label Idols.
