BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan has officially pulled the plug on their tour over the safety of their fans. It is a very sad day for BTS as well as the ARMY's. Following the cancellation of their Seoul concerts, last year in February, BTS have officially called off their "Map Of The Soul" tour considering the concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before coming to this very big decision, the group's label Big Hit now known as HYBE asked fans to hold on to the tickets as they were hoping for it to be rescheduled in case the situation goes right. Unfortunately, this was not possible since the label officially posted the cancellation news on weverse on 20 August 2021, citing difficulty in "resuming performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned".

In the statement released, the label apologised and thanked the fans who hold onto their tickets for nearly two years and believed that the tour will be rescheduled according to ARMY's expectations. But somehow it was not possible.

The tour was announced in January 2020, the 'Map Of The Soul' tour included 37 shows in 17 cities, most of them based in North America, Europe, and Asia. Starting from Seoul with four shows in April, the group was all set to perform hits from their chart-topping album: Map Of The Soul:7. Unfortunately, due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases and orders from the South Korean Government restricting large gatherings, the group had no choice but to call it off.

BTS is highly known for their high-production value and power pack performances, fans were very eager to watch the boys performance. It is indeed true that BTS has attracted fans of every age, gender, race with their level of performance. Their last tour, the "Love Yourself" world tour followed by the "Love Yourself Speak Yourself Tour" had 2,019,800 attendees which were in 42 shows. Of course, it is commendable that the group has considered their safety as well as the safety of their fans. Not just this, a concert involves a lot of production services which is done by a heavy amount of people.

Well!! BTS is one of the most famous K-pop groups not just in South Korea but also worldwide with large support of their fandom ARMY. We'll surely get to see BTS performing live on stage one day.
