Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a sequel to the Naruto series, which follows the adventures of young Boruto Uzumaki, son of Naruto Uzumaki and his teammates.
His teammates include the children of characters from the Naruto series who are all grown up now. The very first episode gives us a glimpse of a few moments just before The Boruto vs Kawaki. This was enough to make the viewers curious about the series.
Although, a lot of us think that the Boruto series lacks the punch as compared to its prequel, Naruto. I, personally think it has a good storyline but it is slow-going.
The show does feel a bit repetitive and unnecessary during this slow build-up but it does give us more clarity on the Otsutsuki Clan and their motives.
A Brief Outline
Boruto is the son of Naruto who is currently the seventh Hokage of the Konoha Village. Boruto feels his father’s priorities have changed after becoming a Hokage who is putting the village before his family.
Boruto wants to be acknowledged for his capabilities and not for being the’ Hokage’s brat’. In the beginning, Boruto is regarded as a spoiled brat who takes everything for granted.
It is Sasuke who tells Naruto that “ A shinobi’s soul remains the same”. Sasuke comes to the village to warn Naruto of the looming danger related to the Otsutsuki Clan.
Boruto convinces Sasuke to be his master to improve himself to impress his father and be acknowledged by him. The exam comes to a halt when Momoshiki and Kinshiki Otsutsuki attacks the venue and abduct Naruto.
Sasuke along with the other four Kages and Boruto goes to save Naruto. Momoshiki was defeated when Boruto and Naruto combined to make a giant Rasengan and attacked him.
This is when Boruto receives his karma seal. The Karma seal is a curse mark that is given by the members of the Otsutsuki clan to the vessels. Each karma seal has different properties depending upon the members who have cast it.
Boruto Vs Kawaki
Kawaki belonged to a poor village with no mother and an alcoholic father. He was consistently abused by his father until one-day Jigen shows up to ‘save him’. Jigen was gathering the children who will not be noticed missing so as to implant the karma seals in different children. All of them died except Kawaki.
Jigen is the vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki but he is unable to contain all the power so he keeps searching for children who could be made a vessel. Jigen is the head of an organization called kara whose main aim seems to grow the divine tree once more.
In the manga, Kawaki is rescued by the ninjas of Konoha village. Naruto takes him under his wings and the Uzumaki Family becomes his adopted family.
Now, the main question is what can we all expect from Boruto Vs Kawaki? Is it going to be as impressive as the final battle between Sasuke and Naruto in Naruto Shippuden?
I felt Kawaki resembled Sasuke and Boruto resembled his father a lot in the moments before their big fight. All I can say is that it is going to be the highlight of the entire series and it is going to be one of the most awaited battles.
