Bleach TYBW Episode 10 | The Battle

Ichigo Kurosaki and Renji Abarai healed themselves when they visited Kirio Hikifune in the Gatonden. Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Episode 9 “The Drop” was the beginning of the battle between Zaraki Kenpachi and Unohana Retsu. The deadly battle between the former and the present Kenpachi will decide the fate of Soul Society.

Bleach Sennen Kessen-hen Episode 10 “The Battle” will show the last Kenpachi standing. Will Kurosaki Ichigo and Abarai Renji get their Zanpaktou fixed in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Episode 10? What will happen to Unohana Retsu and Zaraki Kenpachi?

What is happening in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Episode 10 “The Battle”?

The trio greeted by Zanpaktous

After parting with Kirio Hikifune in the Gatonden, Kurosaki Ichigo and Abarai Renji arrived at Hoohden where they meet the Zanpaktou creator Oh Etsu Nimaiya.

The weird uncomfortable face made by Ichigo and Renji at the women welcoming them was priceless. It was funny to see Kon drooling over women who welcomed them because they were personified Zanpaktou and not soul reapers.

Nimaiya commented on Renji and Ichigo how they failed to tell Zanpatou and Soul Reapers apart. Oh well, someone has a long journey to undertake before they can get their precious Zanpaktou back.

Nimaiya playing with Ichigo

Ichigo was having trouble keeping up with the free-spirited Etsu Nimaiya. Even Renji didn’t want to trade places. If you thought Dogeza was the ultimate apology technique, prepare to find a new technique created by Nimaiya. It almost felt like Renji and Ichigo were made fun of!

If you’re wondering who Mera chan was, she is another Zanpaktou. It was nice to see Mera chan bring Nimaiya back to his senses.

Nimaiya taunted Renji and Abarai as unloved souls who didn’t cherish their Zanpaktous. It was jaw-dropping to see Nimaiya rip their Zanpaktou into shreds. Truly RIP dear Zanpaktou.

A playful Nimaiya teasing them

Well, it was time for Ichigo and Renji get the taste of some very angry Zanpaktou. All they just needed was to survive the wrath of Asauchi which can be forged into anything. Asauchis are nameless Zanpaktou which are assigned before soul reapers get their actual Zanpaktou.

Nimaiya, a member of Squad Zero is known as the blade god and the creator of Zanpaktou. It was revealed that every Shinigami has an Asauchi when they are in training to become Soul Reapers and are assigned. Asauchi has the power to become anything and it is surprising because Ichigo never had any Asauchi to begging with.

Conclusion of “The Battle” | Zaraki vs Unohana (Yachiru)

Unohana unleashing Minazuki

Right where they left the scene in Episode 9 “The Drop”, the fight between Zaraki Kenpachi and Unohana Retsu resumed. Unohana was killing, stabbing and injuring Zaraki and healing him as well till they could fight to their heart’s content.

A young Zaraki’s past is shown how he enjoyed fighting and truly cherished his fight when their blades crossed in the past. Unohana Yachiru who couldn’t satisfy her urger for fights met the young boy who gave her an unforgettable injury.

Knowing Zaraki wanted to enjoy fighting for a long time, he placed a restriction on himself which didn’t allow him to use his full potential in fights. The scary little kid standing on top of the corpses caught Unohana’s interest.

Young Zaraki

It was a beautiful sight to see Unohana’s Bankai Minazuki which possesses both offensive and defensive abilities. Minazuki was a sight to see when it faced Zaraki and as Unohana said, she was paying the price of her sins that made Zaraki weak. Just when we thought, Unohana might win, Zaraki stabs Unohana and becomes the last-standing Kenpachi.

It is an unbreakable rule that every generation has only one Kenpachi. After Unohana’s death, Zaraki reclaimed and maintained the title of Kenpachi. The outcome of the battle was fixed from the beginning and Zaraki had to overcome his barriers. A new powered Zaraki would be a threat in the future.  RIP Unohana San.

What happened to Ichigo?

Mera chan looking at Ichigo and Renji

When Nimaiya threw them into a battle pit of Asauchis, after 3 days, only Renji Abarai passed. No Asauchi selected Kurosaki Ichigo who was badly injured.

As Ichigo didn’t pass the training, Nimaiya kicked him out of Hoohden never to return. Ichigo was never to return back to soul society because apparently, he is a fake soul reaper. This must have hurt Ichigo’s sentiments. Nimaiyacommented how Ichigo was unaware of his roots and that it is fundamental that Ichigo learns the source of his powers. Zangetsu was not going to get fixed either.

Injured Ichigo

By knowing his roots, Ichigo needs to address the long-standing question; confront his father, the former Captain of Squad 10, Isshin Shiba (Kurosaki). As Ichigo was kicked out, he ended up in front of his father’s clinic, back in Karakura town.

Bleach Sennen Kessen-hen Episode 11 “Anything But the Rain” will give Ichigo all the answers he was looking for. Isshin and Ichigo will finally have the long-awaited father-son talk to know about his lineage and his powers.

Keep Streaming Bleach Thousand Year Blood War and next week will be epic as we might get a glimpse of the former Squad Captain 10.
