"Angolmois" Saga by Nanahiko Takagi has more than 1.6 million copies in circulation. Including digital and the recent sequel sales, Angolmois has sold over 1.6 million copies in total. The recent sales update shows that the manga is still going strong with the sequel.
The original Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki manga ran from Feb 26, 2013, till Aug 25, 2018, when Agolmois got an anime adaptation by Studio NAZ. And the anime covered the main story of the initial, completed manga, Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki. And faithfully adapted the original manga into a proper historical fantasy anime.
Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki - Hakata-hen, the sequel of the original Agolmois manga, started its serialization in 2019 and has bolstered the overall sales of the manga since then.
"Agolmois" Saga is set in 13th century Japan and retells the story of the Mongolian invasion of Japan in 1274 AD. Agolmois: The Record of the Mongol Invasion was critically acclaimed when it was released, and even now is recommended as one of the better historical anime out there.
