Jujutsu Kaisen is setting out to be one of the best if not the best new-gen anime.

With the manga already being one of the best-selling manga series of all time, the show’s popularity is on an all-time high.

However, if you are a big Jujutsu Kaisen fan like us and just can not wait for the movies or the next season to come, we have got your back.

Here are 6 anime like Jujutsu Kaisen that are similar in one way or the other.

Parasyte : The Maxim

Shinichi Izumi, a 17-year-old male high school student who lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Fukuyama, Hiroshima.

He is the protagonist of Parasyte. Parasites, tiny worm-like aliens with drill-like heads, arrive on Earth one night.

They take over their hosts' brains by entering through their ears or noses. One parasite makes an attempt to enter Shinichi's body.

However, Shinichi wakes up in the middle of this. The parasite burrows into his arm instead of entering his body.

Eventually, he takes over Shinichi’s right hand and is given the name Migi, which means 'right' in Japanese.

Both beings retain their separate intellects and personalities because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from traveling further up into his brain.

This is similar to Jujutsu Kaisen’s premise of Ryomen Sukuna inhabiting Yuji Itadori’s body while they have their own personalities and goals.

Just like Jujutsu Kaisen, Parasyte explores deeper philosophical questions on humanity and its relationship with the world around it.

This 24-episode show is interesting and captivating to watch.

Naruto

This one’s kind of obvious. Naruto is the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an orphan living in the village hidden in the leaves.

He dreams of becoming the Hokage (the highest position in the village) one day and earn everyone’s respect.

However, an ancient 9 tailed fox inhabits Naruto, just like Jujutsu Kaisen has Sukuna inhabit Yuji’s body.

The story is told in two parts: the first set in Naruto’s preteen years and the second in his teens.

The first part mostly covers Naruto’s time in ninja school. Here he struggles to overcome his limitations and gaining acceptance from others.

The power system is based on chakra, a sort of innate energy that ninjas possess.

This is similar to Jujutsu Kaisen’s setting in a hidden sorcerer’s school where students learn to use cursed energy to exorcise curses.

Naruto has many themes of never giving up and the value of comrades and friends. If you enjoyed Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto is a must-watch.

Bleach

Bleach chronicles the story of Ichigo Kurosaki.

One day, he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper—a death personification comparable to the Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki.

His newfound abilities lead him to take on the role of protecting mankind from bad spirits. Additionally, he guides the souls of the dead to the afterlife.

Bleach is one of those anime that is truly worth its hype.

It has something for everyone: supernatural elements, comedy, action, and a hint of romance, all wrapped together in outstanding animation and a cast of enthusiastic voice actors.

The show feels a lot like Jujutsu Kaisen in terms of the themes explored and attention to detail.

All in all, Bleach is a really thrilling and enjoyable watch.

My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a fun new-generation anime.

The plot follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without abilities in a world where they are growing more popular.

However, he nonetheless wishes to be a superhero. He is scouted by All Might, Japan's greatest hero.

All Might chooses Midoriya as his successor and shares his Quirk with him after recognising his potential.

Subsequently, he helps to enroll Midoriya at a prominent high school for heroes in training.

My Hero Academia explores the themes of good and evil and how they can be two sides of the same coin.

This is quite similar to the themes explored in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Additionally, My Hero Academia has a cast of very likeable characters and complex villains.

If you're looking for an action-packed, well -paced and entertaining anime, My Hero Academia is the one for you.

Demon Slayer

Tanjiro Kamado is a kind-hearted, smart young man who lives in the highlands with his family.

Following his father's death, he became his family's primary source of income, making treks to the surrounding village to sell charcoal.

When he returns home one day to find his family has been assaulted and slain by a demon, everything changes.

Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the only ones who survive the catastrophe. Nezuko is a demon but she still displays human emotions and intellect.

Tanjiro is recruited by Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer, and sent to be trained by Sakonji Urokodaki, another member of the Demon Slayer Corps, to become a demon slayer as well.

Thus, he begins his journey of avenging his family and finding a cure for his sister.

Demon Slayer is a beautiful, soulful anime with a heart-touching story.

The action and animation are aesthetically gripping and very dynamic.

Out of all the new-generation anime, Demon Slayer is right up there with Jujutsu Kaisen, if not higher.

Hunter X Hunter

Gon Freecss is a young boy who discovers that his father abandoned him when he was young.

He is a world-renowned Hunter, a licensed professional who specializes in fantastical pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species.

Additionally, Hunters also go treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals.

Gon sets off on a quest to become a Hunter and track out his father.

Gon meets other Hunters and experiences unusual things and people along the way.

Just Like Jujutsu Kaisen’s power system is based on cursed energy that life forms innately possess, Hunter X Hunter has a power system based on Nen.

Nen is the ability to control one's own life energy or aura, which is constantly emitted from them whether they know it or not.

Hunter X Hunter is must watch for anyone who enjoys fast-paced fun action anime. However, the show does explore much darker themes as it progresses.
