Over the growing years, the level of animation and quality of anime has grown and Japan has given some beautiful and splendid anime. The kawaii aesthetic factors are an added bonus. Surprisingly Chinese Donghua has caught up with the Japanese anime series and Korean Manhwa is not behind either.

15. Made in Abyss
Made in Abyss is quite high in terms of kawaii and aesthetic terms. The music, background, and characters were simply amazing. Riko and Reg were absolutely kawaii and despite the looks of kawaii and children like anime, be warned, it has a lot of gory and disturbing scenes and is not recommended for fans under the age of 16. Ignoring the factors of gore, body mutilation, and horror, the trilogy movie series is good for a one-time watch.
14. Arte
If you love the medieval European era, art, and strong central female characters, Arte is the anime series for you. Be prepared to fall in love with the 16th century Renaissance-era Florence where Arte steps in her journey to find a mentor to become a female painter and defy the destiny set by her dominating mother.
Arte is shunned and looked down on by everyone, but she never gives up. The kawaii moments of Arte and Leo are totally worth it! The anime is highly aesthetic and beautiful.
13. Howl’s moving castle
If it’s a Ghibli movie, and it won’t make the list is highly unlikely. All the Ghibli movies are highly recommended but Howl’s Moving Castle hits close to home. Sophie was really kawaii and Howl makes you want to have a deep-end crush on him.
Howl in different hair colors was one of the best things in the movie. The whole movie was highly kawaii and aesthetic and is highly recommended!
12. Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue
My roommate is a cat! How we all wish to have a cute cat as a roommate that will care about you. Meet Haru (cat), the number 1 waifu that defeated all the female characters in 2019.
Haru is a stray cat that Mikazuki adopted and living with har made him change. Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue is kawaii and aesthetic beyond the limit.
11. Kono Oto Tomare
Kono Oto Tomare is a surprise package that will capture and melt your heart. With kawaii moments from Chika and Satowa, the series is highly aesthetic.
The scenes where Chika, Satowa, and their teammates play the Koto in the tournament is a highly visually beautiful and aesthetic feeling. Kono Oto Tomare has two seasons and is available on Netflix. Do check out this series!
10. Gakuen Babysitters
Kawaii Kotaru, Taka, and the twins Kazuma and Takuma are so priceless. Gakuen Babysitters is next on the list. The 12-episode series revolves around Kotaru and his brother Ryuichi as they continue to live after their parents suddenly pass away.
Ryuichi helps out in the school daycare center where his little brother is also enrolled. Gakuen babysitters is an emotional rollercoaster with highly kawaii characters and is a must-watch aesthetic series.
9. Hotarubi no Mori e
If you vaguely remember the movie despite crying buckets of tears, you can’t be blamed. Hotarubi no Mori e portrays the story of the friendship of two people whose lives get intertwined.
This movie is an emotional and beautiful one, but of course, the ending will make you cry. So brace your heart and watch the movie starring Hotaru the kawaii kid and aesthetic Gin, the mountain god!
8. Kamisama Hajimemashita
If you still haven’t watched Kamisama Hajimemashita, you’ve missed out on a lot. The Shoujo series revolves around Tomoe and Nanami who fall in love and the path of divinity as together they run the broken and rundown shrine.
Kawaii check, aesthetic definitely a check for Kamisama Hajimemashita. The characters are so lovable that you will fall in love with them.
7. A silent voice
This movie is highly recommended. High Warning: prepare a box of tissues as the movie will make you extremely emotional and cry buckets of tears as you encounter the toxic behavior of certain characters who will annoy you to death and want to punch your screens.
A Silent Voice is a story about a hearing-impaired girl who gets bullied and later meets her tormenter again. The movie is aesthetic, kawaii, and very emotional.
6. Weathering with you
Weathering with You by Makoto Shinkai will leave you breathless. This movie is one of the best movies ever made. Everything in Weathering with You defines aesthetic and kawaii vibes.
The MVP goes to Ame in the movie for all the kawaii and cuteness. Follow the adventures of runaway Hina and Morishima along with our favorite Suga San (voiced by Oguri Shun) as they defy the laws of nature and the neverending rain in Japan.
5. Yuri on Ice
Yuri on Ice is highly recommended not just because of the extreme kawaiiness of Yuri and Victor, the entire anime series was a pleasant watch. Yuri on Ice is a sports anime based on figure skating and revolves around Yuri, Victor, and Yuri (Pilsetsky).
4. Mirai no Mirai
Mirai no Mirai is a highly underrated movie and fans should definitely check out the movie. The movie revolves around Kun who feels neglected by his family after the arrival of her younger sister Mirai. Follow the hilarious, aesthetic, and Kawaii journey of Kun, Mirai, and Yukko.
This movie showed “The thirst was real” for Kun’s grandpa! Watch the movie to know about it. Mirai no Mirai received many nominations and won Best Animated Feature at the 46th Annie Awards.
3. Mo Dao Zu Shi Q
If you’re still not over with The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, join us with Mo Dao Zu Chi Q. Wei Wu Xian and Lan Wang Ji a cute chibis that are just so kawaii.
Mo Dao Zu Shi Q is high on the aesthetic kawaii factor and one of the most recommended short donghua series. The 3 minutes 30 episodes will make you crave for more and is rated #3 on the list.
2. Tower of God
Kami no Tou or Tower of God is one of the most anticipated and watched series of 2020. ToG is highly rated for its aesthetic kawaii factor as Baam is the definition of cuteness in the series.
Everything in the Tower of God illustrates aesthetics. What makes the series so worth it is the beautiful music and momentum. While people are busy with the Baam protection squad, you can never get enough of the Khun and Baam cuteness. ToG is rated #2 on the list!
1. Heaven Official’s Blessing
Tian Guan Ci Fu or Heaven Official’s Blessing is #1 in the kawaii aesthetic series. This series is the definition of aesthetic and had many cute moments of our beloved Xie Lian and San Lang.
The infamous crown prince of Xianle, who’s now restored as a scarp collecting god without any followers meets his ultimate devotee Hua Cheng or San Lang. Join the beautiful journey of Xie Lian and San Lang in TGCF or Heaven Offical’s Blessing with 11-episode series. If you haven’t watched the series yet, it is highly recommended! Fans are desperately waiting for season 2!
