Star Wars probably needs no introductions. The franchise is quite popular for all ages. Who can probably forget Luke Skywalker and the most meme-ing version of “I’m your father.” Before there was anime, people were in love with Star Wars. Of course, the love hasn’t changed.
Star Wars has set the standard way too high for everyone. If you like Star Wars, there are anime that you'll definitely love. There are few anime that will come close to Star Wars, but no one can surpass the series.
The series creator said there might be a future Star wars anime, but we can only wait. Anime like Star Wars are rare, but all of them are really amazing. If you're an anime and Star Wars fan, missing out on these epic anime is such a loss.
10. The God of High School
Another blast from South Korea! The God of High school what looks like a simple high school tournament to find the strongest fighter in South Korea is actually far from it. GoH is about the Monkey King Mori Jin, who doesn’t have Charyeok but still manages to kick everyone’s butt.
Mori Jin, Han Daewi, and Mira Yoo are the main characters who train to be the strongest and best in Seoul and the world but of course, there’s the scumbag Park Mubong who literally doublecrosses Jin & Team for his own crazy plans.
If there was an award to give out to the trashiest and scumbag character Park Mubong will definitely win it. Pak Mubong puts shame on Aizen from Bleach when it comes to backstabbing and playing the villain.
9. Ao no Exorcist
Blue Exorcist or Ao No Exorcist is next on the list. Ao No exorcist is about Satan’s child Rin Okumura and his twin brother Yukio who was born from a human mother.
Yes, even Satan can fall in love with a human! Follow the adventures of Rin and Yukio as they exorcise evil and play an important part in saving people. Everything about this anime is just so right! The anime had a good OST from Hiroyuki Sawano and the closing song was done by the popular South Korean band 2 PM.
8. Tower of God
Kami No Tou or Tower of God has rocked the anime world like crazy. The popular South Korean manhwa turned anime stormed the anime world and has made millions of fans go crazy for Baam, the Simp protagonist, and hate train for Rachel, the girl who pushed Baam to kill him.
Tower of God follows the story of Baam who’s busy chasing Rachel, and Rachel is busy chasing the stars and secretly hating the entire world. She is jealous of Baam and his BFF Khun Aguero Agnes, who views Baam as his reason to live. If you haven’t watched Tower of God, you’re missing out a lot.
7. Beelzebub
Who doesn’t want a devil’s offspring and Macao (wordplay- demon) Wife? It’s a dream come true for every high schooler. Meet Oga Tatsumi, the delinquent turned dad of baby Beel or Beelzebub, who’s the son of the Devil King.
The Devil King sends baby Beel to destroy humanity by finding the strongest person on earth to act as a guardian. Thus starts the life of Oga who tries to find someone else to pass off Beel.
But Fate has different plans. There’s also the delinquent and queen of Ishiyama High Aoi Kuneida who has a secret crush on Tatsumi. If you like anime and like Star Wars, watching this series is a must!
6. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Fullmetal Alchemist was great, but nothing can beat Brotherhood. FMA Brotherhood is a must-watch.
The journey starts with Edward and Alphonse trying to bring their dead mom back to life. But, there must be an equivalent exchange that does damage to Alphonse, and Edward loses his limbs as a result.
The Elric brother’s bond, Winry Rockbell, Riza Hawkeye, and Roy Mustang are one hell of a character set that will make you enjoy the series. Ofcourse there are shocking twists and deaths that will make your heart bleed.
5. One Punch Man
Follow the adventures of the bald but powerful hero Saitama and his disciple Genos. The master-disciple duo is powerful to kick the monsters away.
Saitama is an overpowered superhero who is looking for an even match, someone who can give him a good fight!
Meanwhile, Genos gives full dedication to his master Saitama and hilariously humors him. One Punch Man Seasons 1 & 2 are worth watching, and you’ll even watch more after watching season 2. Let’s hope season 3 will be out soon!
4. Bleach
This anime series is synonymous with good fights and serious arcs. Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu, Orihime & Chad fight with hollows and protect the Soul Society and Karakura town.
Bleach is one hell of an anime series that you possibly can’t miss. Hueco Mundo is probably the favorite arc of fans where Ichigo & group chase Aizen to rescue Orihime!
3. Naruto & Naruto Shippuden
This list is incomplete without the mention of the Naruto series. Fans have grown up with this series. Naruto has been impressive on many fronts be it action, story, fights, or emotional category.
Naruto never knew of his parents, feels similar to Luke Skywalker who didn’t know about his dad. Well of course the series didn’t have Darth Vader-type reveal but Naruto’s origins were no less than shocking.
If you are into anime and like Star Wars, look no further because Naruto is the perfect pick for you!
2. Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball Z is a famous series that every anime fan loves. This series is spectacular in its own way. It's amazing to see Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta fight off different inter terrestrial aliens from space and look for the legendary dragon balls to make a wish! Out of all the Dragonball series, Dragon Ball Z is a must-watch Anime if you like Star Wars. And of course, we have Future Trunks who make a killer entry in the show!
1. Gintama
Watching Gintoki Sakata, Kagura, and Shinpachi together with the Shinsengumi will make your heart melt.
Gintama also has the adorable Katsura & Elizabeth, the Jouri rebels who plan to overthrow the Bafuku, along with the Kihetai Leader Shinsuke who’s manipulating everyone from the shadows.
The anime has space wars- check; good fights - check!!! Some good comedy double check!!! Even though the series is a comedy, the action scenes and serious arcs are very compelling. Gintama is a must-watch anime if you like Star Wars.
